2025 Projects
I began taking classes at The Craft Guild of Dallas in January 2025. In fused glass, you normally want to avoid creating bubbles. This project, however, is intended to create bubbles that are trapped within each square in the grid of stringers.

The center of this project contains pieces of a stringer sheet that I cut up to form the "weave" you see.

My instructor and I collaborated in the construction of this project. The first step was to pull vitrograph rods. The next step was to cut the rods into ½ inch pieces. Those pieces where then assembled into a "puck". The puck was then slumped through a drop mold to form the vase you see.

These plates were created as opposites of each other. The left plate uses medium amber glass with a stripe of French vanilla in the center. The right-hand plate has French vanilla with a stripe of medium amber in the middle. Both have "artisanal frit" decorating the center stripe and surrounding area. Artisanal frit is frit that I made from scraps of sheet glass.
